About Pass the Spatula:
In 2020, students of Food and Finance High School were not able to participate in the Junior Showcase due to COVID-19. From this challenge came resilience in the form of a student-led magazine through the Food Media program at Food Education Fund. What once started with 12 students from Food and Finance HS, has now expanded into 32 students from 3 high schools: Food and Finance High School, High School of Hospitality Management, and High School of Environmental Studies.
The Food Education Fund (FEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works with culinary-focused public high school students across the city of New York to provide experiential learning in culinary arts and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to prepare and empower our students to continue their education and cultivate personally meaningful careers.
