Minnow Garfish

Minnow garfish are caught in the Cantabrian Sea off the north coast of Spain in the Fall and Winter. They’re small fish similar in size to a sardine, with a rich, meaty flavor similar to mackerel. Also known as needlefish for their long, narrow beaks, they’re slim with beautiful stripes down their backs, and make an elegant impression upon opening-- perfect for serving in the tin at a cocktail party.
