If you had to take 99 wonderful things to eat (bought in Paris) to a desert island, what would they be? Former food critic for L'Express, journalist Ezéchiel Zérah has answered this question thanks to the 500 restaurants and other food shops he has visited every year for nearly 10 years.
Products to be found in cafés, brasseries, bistros, gourmet restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, delicatessens, cheese shops, grocery shops... In all, 46 savoury products and 43 sweet products are featured, some in addresses known to foodies, others in more confidential places.
All these delights are illustrated by the German-based illustrator Polina Jakimova.
In addition to these 99 things, the Pomélo guide lists the 3 great Parisian favourites of 33 personalities of the food scene in Paris (the pastry chef Pierre Hermé and the gastronomic journalist François-Régis Gaudry to name but two).
That's 99 + 99 things to eat!
